Original lakota sheeps foot style knife blade pipe axe earliest spontoon type – phase II – hand forged blade fisrt 1/3 of the 19yh century with heart. Haft probably ash with antique brass tacks, perfect patina of the 19th century. beaded drop with Antique venetian beads – trim with selvedge textile. Brain tan deer (probably), calico cotton.
Length of the haft: 31,10 inches (79 cm). Lenght of the blade: 11,81 inches (30 cm).
Provenance: Pine Ridge Indian reservation.
