Ledger drawing


Ledger drawing on original paper of the “ First national bank”  from 1907 sheet no.38: the ledger drawing is a re-proposal of an original attributable to “Howling Wolf” and representing a Tsitsitas or Cheyenne warrior, belonging to the warrior society called “crooked lance society”, with clearly visible pectoral and hairstyle of “german silver” discs that reach the ground from the  head, a distinctive element of warriors of high social rank. The warrior also wears dentalium earrings, a shell used to make earrings and other decorative objects.
